Monkey see, monkey do!

Daughter and nephew are experiencing new adventures daily in far away lands. Some they are loving, some, not so much. They were at “The Rock” the other day, ya know, the Rock of Gibraltar, and they enjoyed the moment with the local monkeys. Needless to say, when one said monkey see, the other replied, okay, monkey do. Photos were snapped and rapidly uploaded to Facebook and onto her blog about the happenings of these two Spainiacs.
The not so great moments of the trip to Gibraltar and on to Morocco ended (or I should say stayed with them) in the form of food poisoning. Let’s just say that is some monkey business they would rather not have been a part of.

They returned from this week long school trip; having learned much about souther Spain, its architecture and culture; then quickly had a few days of classes and are now off to yet another group of European landmarks to the north. Oh, what will be on their heads next?

Here are my two silly monkeys . . .

. . . and the rock!

Little side note: these two kids are not just close cousins, they are twin cousins, born on same day one score and some odd months ago.

Love or Be Loved!

I have been creating calendars for the 2013 year and have made a new Love calendar for the year ahead. It is one print of the entire year with all months visible. It is has the charming little angels perched on the word LOVE with clouds and hearts.

The phrase love those around you each and every day in 2013, and a verse from the Love Chapter (1 Corinthians 13:7) love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things, are the encouraging sentiment of the year, as that should be a part of each day of one’s life.

In addition to this new Love calendar, I have also reprinted the original Love One Another calendar for 2013 and it is also available on my Etsy shop.

This year I have made the calendars in the 8.5 x 11 format, with rounded corners and a hole punched at top. They are perfect for hanging or sitting on a shelf.

Either calendar will make a lovely gift for those young and old, family and friends.

What the world needs now, is love calendars, sweet love calendars, that’s the only thing that there’s not enough of . . . until now! So spread the love!

To see the entire line of my Etsy products go to my Etsy shop button at top, right or click here to take you directly to the Sheri’s Creations shop. Oh, and also, get ready to see the newest products available from my creations in embroidery patterns, coming soon and very soon. Stay tuned!

A Terra~Flourish Wedding

In a few short days my niece will be getting married and I am honored to have been involved in the preparation of this wedding. As she and her fiancé decided on the details of this event they asked me to design the invitation for the wedding.
This ceremony and reception will be an outdoor event and they wanted the invitation to reflect that, so we took elements of nature and blended them with a bit of flourish.

The wedding ceremony will be a wonderful mixture of nature, color, texture, elegance and simplicity. I like to think of it as a terra~flourish event, just enough ornament to make it special, yet set in nature to keep it real.
What a treat to not only be involved in the wedding, but to have had this opportunity to spend many enjoyable hours with my dear niece. I will forever remember it fondly.

Megan and Elijah, may this wedding day be the beginning of a wonderful life together full of special moments set on a backdrop of reality. Congratulations! May you terra~flourish!

With only three months left in this year, it is time to look forward to the new year. It’s also time to start thinking about what gifts to give your peeps with the holidays approaching. I have a few ideas for you and they start with calendars, ready to brighten each new day in 2013.

I have just opened a new Etsy shop named Sheri’s Creations, and plan to have lots-o-fun stuff for you to see. I will be adding many embroidery patterns as well as pieces of art from favorite collections, calendars, cards, prints, invitations, announcements and much more. Oh, where will it end? :)

Here is a peek at some of the calendars you will find in the Sheri’s Creations shop.
This first calendar is from a brand new collection I just finished called PandaRama. As you can see it is all about pandas. I will also have many cards from this collection on the shop called Pandagrams, so watch for those to arrive soon.
You might recognize this next calendar set from my many floral collections I have designed and put into one lovely set of calendar months. Now you can enjoy cut flowers throughout the year.
For those who like their fruits and veggies, or have a love of preserving, cooking or gardening, the collection Organic Fruitation is here to spice up your life and bring a little sunshine to your days.
Since birds of a feather do flock together, you might want to get your find feathered friends this calendar of whimsical bird phrases and sayings. Ah, you might even want to tweet about it. ;)
The Woodland Tails animals have found their way into many hearts and homes over the last few years, and now they can settle into your home year-round with this charming calendar.
By popular demand, the Wee are the World kids are back to share the year with you from their corners of the world to yours.

Coffee Matey?

I love coffee, but love it more with lots-o-cream-and-sugar. So, needless to say I’m quite the fan of Coffee Mate with all it’s many flavors. As I woke up to the daily grind, I decided to give a shout out to my fave drink, fave creamer and fave mateys!

And how do I shout out to my peeps? ~with pictures of course. Here are a couple of McCards I thought might warm the hearts of coffee peeps everywhere. And if you don’t like them, matey, you can just walk the plank!

As the autumn season begins to cool our days, warm up with your favorite mateys by sharing a cup of jo.
